The RURBANIVE project, in which PREPARE (Partnerships for Rural Europe) is a key partner, is launching an Open Call to fund innovative solutions that enhance rural-urban connectivity. With a total budget of €600,000, this call provides an exciting opportunity for consortia of innovators, technology providers, and end-users to implement groundbreaking projects that strengthen synergies between rural and urban areas.

The Open Call is designed to support projects that align with one or more of RURBANIVE’s six Rural/Urban Enablers (RUEs):

  1. Circular Bioeconomy – Promoting sustainable production and resource-efficient practices.
  2. Ecosystem & Biodiversity Restoration – Enhancing environmental health and resilience.
  3. Improved Logistics & Shortened Value Chains – Strengthening local economies through efficient supply chains.
  4. User Engagement, Empowerment & Territorial Awareness – Encouraging active participation in rural-urban policymaking.
  5. Culture, Landscape & Heritage Promotion – Leveraging cultural assets to foster connectivity.
  6. Enhanced Mobility Solutions – Developing sustainable and accessible transportation systems.

Selected projects will be integrated into the RURBANIVE ecosystem, contributing to a digital platform that facilitates collaboration between rural and urban stakeholders.
