As 2024 comes to a close, the PREPARE network reflects on a year marked by significant progress and heartfelt collaboration. We extend our deepest gratitude to our members and friends for their unwavering support and dedication to advancing rural development in Europe.
Building a Foundation for the Future
This year, we embarked on a historic journey by initiating the development of an inclusive Strategy for our network—a first for PREPARE. This milestone was made possible by the tireless efforts of the Core Group for Strategy Development and the active participation of our members. The Strategy will serve as a cornerstone for our future endeavors, amplifying the impact of our collective efforts and ensuring sustainable growth.
Strengthening Our Programs and Projects
PREPARE made remarkable strides in expanding our program team and advancing three Horizon projects. Alongside these achievements, we have actively prepared additional project proposals, aiming to diversify our project portfolio and broaden our impact. In line with this, we are thrilled to announce our preparations to apply for a Framework Agreement with the European Union’s CERV programme. This initiative will further enhance our core activities, and we invite all members to remain actively engaged as we shape this exciting chapter.
Expanding Our Network and Celebrating Success
This year’s achievements include a successful study visit to Cyprus, where we welcomed a new associate member, the Troodos Network, into our community. We are grateful for their warm hospitality and look forward to fruitful collaborations.
Another highlight was receiving approval from the Czech Ministry of Agriculture to organize the PREPARE Gathering in Prague in March 2025. We extend heartfelt thanks to the National Network of LAGs in the Czech Republic for their invaluable support in making this event a reality.
Advocating for Rural Europe
The European Rural Parliament Mid-term Event, scheduled for January 30, 2025, in Brussels, stands out as a testament to our commitment to rural advocacy. This high-profile event will provide members across Europe with an opportunity to shape policies that benefit rural territories and their people. Looking Forward
As we step into 2025, we aim to strengthen partnerships and deepen collaboration. We encourage members to involve PREPARE as a partner in future project proposals, particularly in the current Erasmus+ Programme open call. Together, we can achieve even greater milestones and foster innovation in rural development.
