PREPARE Organized Successful Webinar on the FUTURAL Project and Open Call for Proposals

On August 23, 2024, PREPARE successfully organized a webinar focused on the FUTURAL Project and its Open Call for Proposals. The event attracted thirty-eight participants, most of whom are members of the PREPARE network, underscoring the strong interest in this innovative project aimed at driving sustainable development.

Key Highlights from the Webinar

The webinar began with a welcome address by Miodrag Matavulj, Secretary General of PREPARE. Mr. Matavulj provided an insightful overview of the PREPARE network, discussing its mission, vision, and the numerous initiatives and projects that have been successfully implemented since its inception. His presentation laid a solid foundation for understanding the broader context of the FUTURAL Project within the network’s ongoing efforts.

Following this, Kim Smedslund, Principal Project Coordinator of the FUTURAL Project, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the project. Mr. Smedslund outlined the main objectives of the FUTURAL Project, discussed its key activities, and explained the various work packages designed to achieve these goals. His detailed explanation provided participants with a clear understanding of the project’s aims and the collaborative efforts required for its success.

Natassa Koufaki, Project Manager from “Reframe.food,” a key partner organization in the FUTURAL Project, then took the stage. Ms. Koufaki provided an in-depth look at the Open Call for Proposals, covering critical aspects such as the objectives of the call, submission criteria, priority areas for support, and other technical and administrative details. Her presentation was particularly valuable for potential applicants, offering them the guidance needed to participate effectively in the open call.

Engaging Q&A Session

The webinar concluded with a lively Q&A session, allowing participants to ask questions and share feedback on the presentations. This interactive segment provided an opportunity for attendees to delve deeper into the topics discussed and to clarify any uncertainties, ensuring that all participants left with a thorough understanding of the FUTURAL Project and the Open Call for Proposals.
